>>Now, if you want to exhibit some integrity, you'll provide balance by citing the second sentence whenever you cite the first.<<

in regards to HRP's email from Iomega Corp.:
"We have publicly stated on several occasions that for the last two quarters we have sold the OEM version of our Zip drive for a slight negative gross margin. However, when you look at the drive and the subsequent disk sales together, our foray into the OEM market is a profitable venture."

The sentence you wish for me to add to my posts is just a lame excuse and PR Spin offered up by Iomega and some Bulls here. Facts are facts. And the fact is, Iomega sells its OEM Zip drives at a loss. Plain and simple. No asterisks. No excuses. No qualifications.

I am not about to add Iomega PR Spin into my posts. Just look at Syquest. They were selling SparQ drives at a loss, but if tie rates with discs were high enough, they would have made a profit too. No excuses.

Gillette does not sell their razors at a loss. I should know. I just paid $7 for the new Mach 3 razor outfit. Includes 2 blades. I highly recommend it (cheezy TV ads notwithstanding). Very smooth shave, with 2 lubricating strips above and below the 3 steel blades. *I do not own Gillette stock.

It seems to me that Iomega's "Gillette Razor Blade strategy" is failing.
