<loose my link to DBC>

You have an Internet link to DBC? That could be a royal pain without a backup.

My set-up is a cable modem for the internet and a cable modem for DBC. That's why I jumped to the conclusion that Chuck wouldn't need @Home. But one has nothing to do with the other.

The problem that I worry about is the DBC going down, but with the exception of a 15 minute outage last January it's been very reliable.

All in all I shouldn't complain but when the response drops it can drive me crazy. I may be in a rush to check data I get from the internet and SI has me locked up tight as a drum. Meanwhile, I may leave a trade hanging as I wait.

In any event, if access to SI is crashing your data perhaps you should connect on a separate machine.
