Re: Desktop storage space overwhelming demand.

Mind you this is anecdotal in nature, which either makes it utterly useless or annoyingly ignorant. I also fear I may have the sexist label affixed to me after this one. Here goes anyway.

In my extended family the purchase of new PCs equipped with the biggest hard drives available has not lessened one bit lately. In the last couple of months alone 3 PCs have been purchased. For what use and by whom? By women to be used for “arts and crafts” purposes. My wife's top priority in life seems to have become to “get the family albums organized”. My sister has similar desires and seems destined to end up with enough technology to start her own print shop. When video editing becomes widely available I doubt I will ever see the “womenfolk” again. Now maybe 20 gigs is more than enough storage to accommodate all these uses and more, and maybe 5 pairs of shoes is more than any person needs too.<nervous grin>

Stitch, OTOT I need some help in evaluating the substance of a post.
Message 6384411
The poster is well known on that thread and considered reliable.
But "market timing using Quantum Mechanics"?
I use conventional TA myself for trend and resistance studies.
But "market timing using Quantum Mechanics"?
The only TA people I know of who make LT predictions are
Elliot wavers.

Since this is the most intellectual thread on SI, I decided
to ask the question here. Is there a quantum physicist on the
thread? <g>
