No, it doesn't eliminate the chance but I think it will be very difficult for GMGC to sell against MSFT/QCOM. Carriers prefer down- and mass-market services that evolve as technology becomes accepted and reliable. Portico is really advanced stuff (hat's off to GMGC for building such a cool application.) But the steam-rollers with bigger marketing, more resources, and as they demonstrated yesterday - MORE CLOUT - are tying up the carriers and influencing them in a direction that could make Portico hard to differientiate.
