I used to converse a lot with Mike Burke on Prodigy years ago.
He's made a career out of bashing tech stocks and the high valuations some carry. Needless to say he's missed the boat more than a couple of times. Reading his blather can be a good reality check however.
A couple years ago we had a big debate. I said that sub $1000 computers were just around the corner. He said that this couldn't happen, saying that components just couldn't go that low.
Like so many Analysts (Mike used to run a mutual fund) he made the mistake of trying to apply the business cycle to the computer market. Riding the contention that it couldn't sustain its growth rate. Wall Street has again been proven wrong again. Again they pooh pooh their mistakes.
