Mika, re a good target to complement the Ericsson strategy? I suggest that we should focus on the "Datacom Division" for an insight on further targets. (The focus has been on the Network Systems division, in Richardson Texas , in the US) During the last two weeks -- Ericsson has been advertizing (in the Sunday Boston Globe) for help at their new Datacom Division's Global Headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts, USA. A list of current Datacom products can be seen at ericsson.se It may be interesting to note that Cabletron Systems (in New Hampshire) purchased essentially all of DEC's networking manufacturing facilities, prior to the takeover (of DEC) by Compaq Computer. Compaq now sells CS's networking products. I would suggest that CS may be a target for Ericsson, or others. I do not like CS's management, and would consider them to be a problem. I understand that --A gentleman, who founded Cascade Communications (now Ascend's core switching division) has founded a new startup company in that area of Massachusetts.
