RE: Slavery in ancient times

Sam, isn't it astounding that the new testament, coming hundreds of years after the Stoics and Socrates, failed to recognize the evil of slavery:

"Slavery is a system of outrage and robbery." Socrates

"Slavery is a system of the most complete injustice." Plato.

Just a couple of the reasons that the Classics are morally far superior to the Bible (which, of course, never mentions ethics or morality).
