Actually, was a final draft notice ever issued to Clinton? I don't think it was. So technically, he would not have been a draft dodger, just someone who didn't volunteer, like Pat Buchanan, etc.

Even if one were to concede that Bill Clinton's "conscientious objection" was a ploy to evade the draft because he was a coward and therefore, was afraid of taking part in the war, he still comes out better off than Buchanan, Limbaugh, Kemp and the like.

Because, to these self-proclaimed patriots, joining the military was a "sacred duty" and all that stuff -- as long as they were spared and it was somebody else that was putting his life on the line! So, they were not merely cowards but much more -- they were also hypocrites.

I understood he received an induction notice but dodged it by claiming he was entering ROTC in some college. JLA
