Hi Hiam, I have no "hope of turmoil" regarding the meteor shower on Nov 17th. My take on it was the impact of an interruption in trading communications that may result on that day of the FOMC. I do believe panic in one direction or the other gets elevated when one's internet service is unavailable. BTW, I just got an email from an ISP friend who said that was the most optimistic version he's read on the meteor shower impact, FWIW.

There's nothing I'd be comfortable in buying on a dip that may occur then, but would be interested in dumping some on a spike. Just pointing out a possible market moving event - and I do feel satellite disruption may not be a yawner. I've pretty much given up on hoping to find reasonably valued "investments" that won't lose 20-70% of the principle on the size of the ever larger "dips" we've been seeing in '97/'98. Think I'll sit back and watch for quite a while.

regards,
Tom
