Lawrence;

I am currently running my real time quote system; Netscape with Silicon Investor; checking my e-mail; and running Word to type a document for a client. Often I have two or three Netscapes windows open with CNNFN or CBS MarketWatch or other stock research sites open.

Bandwith is important. Just like a four lane highway allows a traffic jam to move (theorotically) faster than a two lane highway. Also, six lanes is better than four; eight is better than six, etc. I doubt I am the only multitasking user in the world.

Lawrence,

Speaking of non-sequiters:

<<Bandwidth is an enabling technology. Having it just makes sure the highway is wide enough. It doesn't make the cars go any faster>>

You are going to have to explain the logic here as it totally misses me. Or maybe I am hung up on an imperfect analogy? I can go faster in my car if there is less traffic. We can transfer files, browse, download news, store data, faster, if bandwidth allows it. What the heck am I missing? In fact, I say non sequiter because above, you say yourself, bandwidth is an enabler. An enabler of what if not higher transfer rates?

best,
Stitch
