If you think the recent runup in SGI is unimpressive, I bet you'll be even more unimpressed next week. With the markets pausing to catch their breath, and all of the uncertainty in the middle east, I have a feeling that SGI will be lucky to hold on to what little gains it has made this coming week. Throw Greenspan in the mix, and there you have it! Any other SGI'ers nervous about the upcoming week?

Then again those Nov call options that spiked up in volume will expire this Friday. So, whatever magic is supposed to happen will be revealed by Friday. I bet no buyout is going to happen anytime soon. My take is that someone was trying to play all those SGI "fastest computer known to man" press releases on top of a surging market. Looks like Mr. market got the last laugh, however. Nov 15 calls are currently well below the money, and likely will expire worthless, with a good chance that the 12 1/2's will do the same. Time will tell...

Don,
You are a great cheerleader! I nominate you and Jim as co-captains of the team! (all in fun :-) )

Someone mentioned options activity. Last week there was little change in the open interest on November options. Still over 3000 open positions in 12.5 and 15 calls and 1500 at 17.5.

Positions were opened in February however. 15 calls increased by over 10% and 17.5 calls doubled to 444.

Did they sell or buy?

Bill
