John,

I tend to agree with your view of Fed activity. Someone else (JT?) also mentioned the US consumer as THE driving force. I am baised that the Fed will not take action in November. But... If AG and gang are more concerned about consumer spending during the holidays, a 1/4 drop in November is the perfect thing to boost consumer confidence during the holiday spending season. A December meeting action would be too little to late, IMHO.

Other's brought up issues about currency and bond effects that I don't have a good grasp on. My question/conern of the moment is the affect of no Nov. fed cut on the market. My own guess is a 300-500+ point drop of the Dow, and a big hit on the NASDAQ.

Just my own WAG (wild ass guess)

Christopher

>>THE UGLY: Still holding AMAT JAN99 bot @6 now @2. <<

Huh?!... And I was kicking myself for not noticing AMAT 10 days ago. Just dont get it...Were they way out of money? When did you buy it? Should have been a day when everybody was cranking up spreads due to volatility.
