To further that thought on my dad...and to add to the power of the internet... I located a web site for the 381st bomb group. I posted my dad's name there and requested info if anyone knew him. A guy shot back several hours later via email and said he thought his dad knew my dad, he thought. I looked through more of my father's papers and found several letters and pictures of this fellow's dad. We just got off the phone with each other after talking for two hours. Not only did our father's know each other, but they are very good friends. Saved each other's asses over Germany. After 50 years and another generation we make contact. Today is a great day. <H> 11:11
