Actually, I would think it would be simpler to simply plot x number of points on a graph as the data rolls in since minute bars do that and keep track of time. Go figure.
Daytrader uses several data feeds via cable, satellite or FM. There is a version that uses real time data via the internet but WOW forces you to use their own proprietary network. The software takes the data and manipulates it any way you want. Every tick is stored (so it takes around 500 MB of disk space for the past two weeks or so) but you can create tick bars, minute, hour, up to year long bar charts. If only that damn data feed wasn't so slow.
