richard, thanks for the balance. everyone wants to paint me in a box and say i'm doom and gloom b/c i don't think intel will multiply their current 1% growth rate by 2000% anytime soon.

this latest release didn't say that intel would beat last year (and, therefore, return to growth stock status).

last year intel touted record revenue growth (true) and didn't tout lower yty earnings (true). i just try and bring balance. when all is said and done, intel is currently growing eps at about 1% a year. if someone wants to pay for that kind of return, go for it. but the fact is that 1% is the current return.

btw, i don't see any drivers to accelerate the growth rate much. i wouldn't be surprised to see 5% in the future. i would, however, be shocked to see 20% anytime soon.
