Valence has apparently improved capacity since May.

Greg, great questions- I welcome this kind of discussion.
The spec sheet on the Valence site is dated in May.

In a conference call after the spec sheet was posted, the company said the performance of the cells had been improved. Here are two post referring to this:

Message 4602016
Message 5062979

Then recently, an article on Hanil/Valence JV used these specs:

Hanil Valence will produce sample of lithium polymer cells and there are two kinds one of which has width 10cm, length 10cm, thickness 4mm and capacity of 4,000mA/h.

The cells have a nominal voltage of 3.8v, so 4x3.8 = 15.2 Wh per cell.

Regarding the gross margin, I used 50% gross margin in my calculations. This is not an unusual gross margin for revolutionary products. Lev's statements today implied that Li-polymer cells were less expensive to produce than Li-ion prismatic units. I do agree that we should adjust the production volumes for yield. My proposed income statements didn't do that when I first presented them.

I understand the company is gearing toward two ten-hour shifts daily.
