<<That is another reason they now expend to China, one of the biggest potential PC market in the world>>
I know that nouveau rich Chinese will buy anything w/ American brand, but don't you think domestic computers or even those from Taiwan will beat Dell in price? No position in Dell but did short BRCM and I think BRCM at 100 was a golden short..I did shorted lower though and sit it out.

But there is more than one way for the PE to settle back to something more rational. Dell is REALLY good at spinning things well, and my guess is that they'll slowly guide estimates down when it becomes appropriate. That could mean a very soft landing -- maybe just a period of low volatility -- for the stock, rather than a crash.

Bottom line: I think they will be unable to sustain the historic growth rate. But I think they know their business well enough, and their stock behavior well enough that they'll avoid a real rapid decline. Not a good candidate for shorting.
