John: Re: slower chat ... Interesting situation. I've been having problems, too, with reduced speed on SI ... but I have both Win95 & Win98. Both are slow. If Microsoft is purposefully degrading other chat software, then they didn't learn much from the Win98 Internet Explorer fiasco, did they? TED

John: Computer magazines such as PCWORLD have come put with Factual information that Windows 98 has many "bugs" to numerous to go into here but I can give you the month of the particular issue if you want it. Basically their conclusion is that"one is better off to keep Windows 95 and download only the extra Utilities that are new to Windows 98" Also there are Conflicts with Software such as "Nuts and Bolts 1.04" and "Clean Sweep" etc with Windows 98 in several cases.Another issue was the fact that Windows 98 does not contain all the "drivers" necessary for some hardware .
