My recollection from this and prior conference calls is that the breakeven is 1,800 batteries per day, and it is my understanding that the line 1 realized production capability is well beyond that. I also believe that the company is negotiating prices per battery in excess of $ 50 per battery, which would clearly provide for breakeven operation. Lev has stated on at least two other occasions in prior conference calls that he felt that Valence could break even on the initial line.

Greg, I have been a voyeur here for many months now, ever since investing in VLNC in August (remember the 3's and 4's?!), but it was your plea and the confusion about 1800 cells vs. 1800 batteries that got me to sign up as an SI member so I can talk too!
As my memory is often suspect and my notetaking skills even worse, I recorded the CC (having heard no info indicating that we couldn't do this). I played back my tape and Lev distinctly said "1800 cells."
I hope this helps.

Greg, I was writing so fast that I don't remember whether he said cells or batteries. But what I wrote was 1,800 cells per day, so I assume that's what he said.

Oops, now I see someone already confirmed this from a tape made of the CC.
