LG: I was on the mail list before there was a charge for it. The incident I described in the GEMS thread occurred not that long before he started charging for membership and while the site was being established. Given that no one ever wants to be blamed if their recommendations go sour for you, I can't understand how they can in conscience charge money for their recommendations, but it's a common inconsistency. People who write newsletters or recommend stocks online often say they don't want to hear complaints if you lose money, but they are happy to accept the praise if you make money. :-)

I had lost money on his picks, plus there was that incident I described. So, no, I didn't join. I would have stayed on the mail list if it were free, though, mostly out of curiosity.

It was my experience that stocks were just destroyed when his group sold, and that many never recovered. As Laura suggests, I am myself still holding things that have gone from worthless to more worthless.

When he buys a stock I own, I worry, and if I can sell, I do. I did not sell three of my stocks when he bought them in recent times, and they haven't recovered yet.
