There are many firms in Canada, that will open an account for US Citizens but usually it has to be a bigger account..They are not confined by the up-tick rules nor is it a must that you have borrowable shares. You must be professional in your dealings and your word is the only thing that matters..i cannot publicly mention or endorse any one company,,but if you do a little research you can find them...if after looking you still have trouble..you can PM me and I'll see what i can do to help. Or ofcourse you can spend about 30,000 and open your own US Firm deposit at least 500K to 1.5Million at a clearing house and then as a Market maker you can do whatever you want..Thats what I did for the last several years...
