I trade for a living. I use AB Wately Platinum Trader. Costs $300/month. Completely transparent direct access to all MM's. Pricey, but have yet to lose money on a single trade this month.

I'll toss my 2 cents in. MB Trading, which I and several friends have. It has a thread on SI. Similar to Cyber and AB Watley.

Laura,

Re: Trading setup

I've only been doing this full-time since I "retired" May 1 at 40, but I'll tell you what I'm doing.

Using Stockedge Online from DBC-Signal. Costs $79/mo on annual prepay with 50 symbols tracked (can pay a little more for more signals). Check their website www.dbc.com. Their service is real-time and pretty reliable. Sometimes there is a "lock-up" but it doesn't usually last more than a couple minutes.

For Trading I use Schwab. They are not the cheapest ($29.95/trade) but very reliable. I also like their system of checking open positions and changing execution prices. They also use what they call "price-improvement" where sometimes they are able to improve the price from where the market is actually trading. In one case I was able to get a price that was better by 1/8 than the best price the stock traded that day. This has saved me many hundreds $$$$ so far. Also, if you have a minimum (I think $200,000 or so) with them, you are in their Schwab Online Advantage program (Schwab 500) where you have your own sales team to contact hence avoiding busy signals. Call me selfish, but I feel that if I am a very good customer of theirs then I should be treated as such.

If you have any additional questions concerning either of these services, feel free to drop me a note.

As for Dell, presently in cash waiting for after earnings drop.

Happy Investing

Gary
