Hi Mike...Oh easy ones eh!!<gggggg> 1) How far away is Los Pelambres from the Corin property? 31 kilometers (about 20 miles) so is the El Pachon deposit. 2) Care to compare/contrast the geology of the two systems based on what is known so far? Sure- the Cordon de Quelan portion of the Coiron property has similar exposures and believed deposit size to the Los Pelambres property. The geological report produced by Mr. J Ostler states: "The porphry deposits at Los Pelambres reportedly contain more than 2 billion tonnes of copper mineralization. The general morphology of the copper deposits at Los Pelambres is typical of porphry copper deposits that have been developed through out northern Chile. They contain coopper mineralization hosted within a potassic alteration zone located directly beneath tourmaline-bearing collapse breccia which is surrounded by a halo of phyllic(sericitic) alteration. Mineralization and alteration exposed on Cordon de Quelan on the Coiron property may be an expression of the upper part of a porphry deposit similar to those at Los Pelambres.' However, within this property but on the lower slopes of the project he states: The Claudio intrusive is exposed on the lower slopes south of Cordon de Quelen at an elevation between 2400-2520 m.a.s.l. This intrusive was described thusly: "....This porphry is light grey in color and has pervasive quartz-sercite alterations that completely obliterats the matrix texture. Many small boxwork cavities filled with hematite and limonite are evident. Our samples from this outcrop (X-11) contained: 3.82gm/mt (.115 oz/ton) gold, 107.3 gm/mt (3.24 oz/ton) silver and 1.98% copper. An ICP analysis of this sample contained 917ppm arsenic." 3) For the benefit of the thread, why do you believe that this porphyry system may contain significant gold content unlike the Los Pelambres?ie. the El Indio Belt seems to favor copper/molybdenum unlike say the Maricunga belt. The Coiron property unlike los Pelambres demonstrates copper-gold bearing veins that are cut by east-northeasterly trending gold-bearing veins that generally displace them. The gold bearing veins are interpreted to be younger than the alteration zone and its associated breccia and veins. They may be related to the miocene to pliocene-age mineralization event that produced the Los Pelambres and el Pachon copper porphriesnorth -eastof the Coiron property. The location of the Coiron property in relation to the regional metallogenic belts suggests that it could host a late Eocene to early Oligocene-age mineralization system. Los Pelambres and el Pachon deposits are related to the early to middle Miocene-age metallogenic belt. However the Coiron Property is so "close to the projected boundary between the two belts" that the age of the mineralization system exposed there can not be deduced by position alone. This I believe is why the Coiron property is important! It actually forms the boundary between to belts that were known for, in one case copper, the other copper-gold!! Los Pelambres and El Pachon only had trace elements of gold, Coiron is giving different indications! 4) Tentatve schedule of the IP exploration Tenders for IP are out now, close 15 Nov(If I remember correctly)IP is to be finished prior to Xmas. 5) Best guess when drilling will start. 7 Jan 1999 is the schedule after interpretation of IP and identifying the targets! 6) How will the drill program be funded if the BC government settlement does not occur? Rocks response thus far is that it won't result in further share dillution! 7) Are there any gold placer deposits nearby? If not, why not? Still researching the "other belt", RTZ owns one huge property on this "other" belt and Biliton owns the other, both have not done any property work yet. 8) Any historial mining in this area? If not, why not? Los Pelambres is a new mine and El Pachon is in the BFS stage. Much like other areas of Chile, this property has been "mined" by the locals for Gold, they have made a reasonable living but were only able to get to the hardrock! Los Pelambres and El Pachon were poor gold diggings for the locals! 9) How come the holes drilled earlier this year came up with nothing other than promising pretty rocks? Reading what the company had to say about the results you would think they were happy they came up with nothing?! Were they secretly dissappointed? (I already know why they drilled before the IP-stupid!-even Medinah had enough since to do the IP first! Chilean partners are not always as methodical as us. They saw this huge Igor intrusion leaching mounds of copper and wanted the drilling to be done where they wanted it. The Chileans own the property and us Canuck miners are trying to buy into it!! The fact that MDIN chose to do the IP first is irrelevant to Rock's property. Ostler has said that the information garnered from the drilling has confirmed his suspicions that this property will hold a large deposit. So far nobody is second guessing him or critizing him. 10) Best guess when Rock Resources will JV. My guess is either for the drill program or shortly after the IP initial drilling results. I have no reason to believe this other than I have faith in this property. Conclusion I have the 100 page geological report that clearly outlines similarites to Los Pelambres. However there are many areas of this document that indicate greater possibilities of a gold/copper porphry. It is very difficult to extract specifics from a very lengthy document. It is the impression of reading the whole document that makes you draw this conclusion. the Chief
