Jeff,

<Huh...not really a brilliant day...>

Well at least it didn't lose another 1/2 <gggg>. Actually, the best day so far this week.

I think it's clear, despite what the ra-ra boys on the Yahoo thread would like to believe, that this stock still has a long way to go in terms of convincing WS of its value. The buyback will help, but this is not the key. Earnings starting with Q4 earnings will be the real driving force in determining the future direction this stock takes longer term. This stock was a great value before all the buyback mania started. It still is. Unfortunately, that's all people want to talk about now. I posted two product announcements today on both threads and I don't believe it provoked a single response. Activity on this thread has diminished and Yahoo's discussion has deteriorated into name calling, cheer leading, and wishful thinking instead of rational analysis and realistic expectations.

It's very hard to say where this stock is going short term. Fortunately, my current position is a long term venture. The buyback will come and go, the dividend will come, but financial execution is what WS wants to see. Respect from WS will not come overnight just because of a buyback commences.

All indications are that Q4 should be a strong quarter for peripheral makers since PC sales appear to be very strong. CREAF has released a series of gang buster products just in time to capitalize on this strength. I'm sure that Soundblaster Live products and Encore products (along with other products like new video offerings and speakers) will be big Christmas hits. Let's just hope that the strength that Intel is seeing (across ALL geographies) carries over to CREAF.

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic about a steady gradual recovery but I definitely don't see a sudden rise to 20 in the near future.

Good luck to all,

FF
