Trivia Questions.

1. What Internet stock can you buy tomorrow morning for about 15 times FY98 earnings?

2. What Internet stock can you buy tomorrow morning that even has FY98 earnings?

3. What would you do tomorrow morning if you were short THQI?

Jeff, >> Iraq at this point seems nothing more than an opportunity for THQI to make a good shoot 'em up style game. <<

Oh Man, you are good ;o)

I agree with you about the rate cut. IMO there will be another 2 to 3 more rate cuts in next 12 mos. We may not see it in November if the stock market remain strong but it will happen in the following months. No question about that.

THQI tends to make new high at year-end (for obvious reason). This is true for 1996 and 1997 and likely will repeat in 1998. This is why I said we should buy now. A major positive surprise will send THQI north to 30s in matter of days. I don't think it is wise to care about a point or two as we all agree we are close to the short-term low (right?). People who bought THQI at $8, $9, $10, $11.... are all smart investors.

Time to practice shooting...

Jeff, thanks for the informative post.

<<Your concerns about the Fed possibly not cutting interest rates may be important at the macro level >>

As per my observation more often than not, majority of stocks react to such macro events. In fact whenever market goes down on Asian flu, I find tons of buying (or selling) opportunities. Fundamentally THQI remains strong but can be traded based on these macro events.
