This will be my last post for awhile

THE FTEL THREAD ON SI

Silicons Ftel as a thread was the pinnacle
many came here to see how it was supposed to be done
We worked towards a common goal
but I must say we also had fun

we all contributed to the collective knowledge
They were contributors from all walks of life
we gathered as much info here as possible
It did not matter who you were, a doctor, a lawyer, a wife

We had our favorites
those that posted solid thoughts and insights
most of which are gone now
Can you blame them its not worth the fights

But wait, they all did not leave on their own accord
SI Sent them packing without an explanation and without a trace
If it was not for the ragging bovine we never would have learned
that the irony of all is that they were banished to a better place

Now all is left is smearing and sneering
It seems the focus is all but gone
Individuals rarely are on topic they are mostly jeering
The naysayers have won

But what did they win? were they correct?
not by along shot if you ask me, someday it will be our turn
what they have won is the total destruction of a tool
a constructive place where we tried to investigate and learn

Yes, it is sad that Ftel has gone down hill
I am betting it will come back
what also is sad that as far as we have sunk
Si has gone even farther off track

So I am gone to a better place to discuss this topic
I hope to return someday
And when/if I do it will be our turn to cheer
I am just so tired of this game, it just is not fun anymore to play

I wish you all well
Sethy

William Harvey, I believe you are wrong about the run-up in FTEL's price prior to the Intrine order announcement not being related to the Intrine announcement itself.

Don't stocks often rise before big (& big sounding) news is announced? In valuespec.com, I documented the rise in FTEL's price to the timing of the announcement. The stock climaxed right around the time of the Intrine news.

Based on FTEL's history at the time, I questioned the impact and nature of the Intrine order to some scoffing on this thread. As it turned out, I was right in that regard, too.

I don't expect this company to ever be profitable, based on its past history.

I expect bigger loses this quarter ending December 31, 1998, with lower revenues than the quarter ended September 30, 1998.

FTEL: $ .82
