Which of course, is an implied admission that their respective products are inferior <g>. NOW they have to start talking about their products.... Too bad for them ..

Craig S2,

<<I asked Cal Nelson(President of Ancor) this question yesterday and he stated that the move to settle the lawsuit was more Ancor's doing than the insurance company's. Essentially the push to settle came about due to Ancor getting tired of hearing back from potential OEM's that the competition(Brocade, Vixel, etc) was using the lawsuit as a argument to the OEM's to not get involved with Ancor. In other words it was used as a scare tactic to keep OEM's away from doing business with Ancor.>>

This is one of the reasons I have been so adamant that they simply settle it. A struggling company has to remove EVERY negative they can, and that helps both customers and investors have more confidence that the company has turned the corner. That's why I thought the lawsuit settlement was a big deal.
