John:

I once followed this thread somewhat regularly and posted here occasionally as well. Then, earlier this year I discerned, as did others, that the ungodly were using this forum to spout their blasphemies. At that time, I decided to abandon the thread and leave it to them. In visiting back recently, I was happy to find other Bible believing Christians like yourself actively posting. Glad to see it. My concern has always been not so much for those who knowingly twist and misshape the Word of God, those who do so maliciously and who are not in search of the truth, but for those who may be on the edge and who may be taken in by the lies. I sincerely pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal Himself to those who are in search of the truth, the way, and the life and will reveal the true plan for salvation to them. There is but one path and it is narrow, but one gate and it is narrow and that is through Jesus, the risen savior. Amen!

Let those of us who love the Lord resolve that should anyone come to this thread truly seeking to know the truth and should address one of us with a question, or with doubts, or with troubles, that we will, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit do our best to answer them in a gentle and loving way. However, those who spit at the truth and twist and turn the Word of God knowing full well what they do should be left alone and not given more attention than they already get.

May God bless you.

Tom

John,

God said, "I have not foresaken you. I have never left you." I can not understand why you choose to believe he did. I believe these words of scripture, and accept that we did not, but I had fallen asleep and was no longer awake of his presence until I once again awoke. It is beyond me why many on this board want to put anyone who sees these words in this way in the camp of the devil, or put a label on them to keep them separate from themselves. I am not of any particular doctrine. My school is the world. When we separate things into the 'this' and 'that' or the 'us' and 'them' we ultimately separate them into a relative 'good' and 'bad'. Jesus did not do this. He walked the earth seeing good and truth everywhere.

May you walk in wisdom and joy.

Peace,
Darrin

Job 11

2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
6 And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

Job 42

1 Then Job answered the Lord, and said.....

5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Job 1

8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
