NEON Expands in ERP Market with Wins for SAP R/3 Integration; MQIntegrator Accelerates SAP R/3 Implementations

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- New Era of Networks™, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEON - news) announced today it is expanding its presence in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) market. It recently signed five contracts with corporations in various industries to implement SAP AG's (NYSE: SAP - news) products enterprise-wide.

The Coca-Cola Company, Pitney Bowes, Tivoli Systems, Monsanto Company [NYSE:MTC - news] and Industrial Bank of Japan selected NEON's MQIntegrator™ for SAP R/3 integration.

''NEON MQIntegrator interfaces with SAP and other enterprise applications, enabling our legacy and specialized systems to send data to and from SAP,'' said Christopher Dahl, Director of Data Architecture and Database Administration for Monsanto Company. ''This supports our aggressive project to implement SAP in several parts of the world. By consolidating many of the interfaces into MQIntegrator, this decreases the burden of developing interfaces to our production SAP systems.''

''We were searching for a well-architected integration solution from an enterprise-wide point-of-view to support our efforts to reduce costs, react to market conditions and be more nimble,'' said Michael Rollo, Enterprise Architecture Manager, Mailing Systems, for Pitney Bowes. ''MQIntegrator offers us high scalability for rules and formatting and openness to third party integration vendors. These are critical elements that allow us to control the movement and access of enterprise-shared data across disparate applications.''

''NEON's integration solution is a key component that will enable heterogeneous applications within our enterprise to exchange information,'' said John Ciulla, Chief Information Officer for Tivoli Systems. ''NEON allows our applications to cost-effectively and quickly exchange data, eliminating the need for in-house development.''

''The successful Enterprise Application Integration providers are diversifying their industry presence by focusing on specific business needs, such as ERP,'' said Nick Gall, Vice President and Director, Open Computing & Server Strategies, META Group.

''NEON continues to provide business solutions to multiple industries,'' said Rick Adam, CEO of NEON. ''These contracts demonstrate our commitment to integrating ERP applications into the enterprise. ERP Package integration is a major emphasis for NEON.''

The SAP R/3 System is the world's most-used standard business software for client/server computing. NEON's product suite is certified by SAP as a leading enterprise-wide integration solution for the R/3 System. This enables MQIntegrator users to integrate their disparate information systems with the R/3 System through standard, proven interfaces.

NEON MQIntegrator consists of IBM's message queuing solution and NEON's message transformation and intelligent content-based routing system. The EAI solution enables heterogeneous applications and databases to interact with each other across the enterprise.
