The following news from 8/28 was positive. Anyone know if the monthly increase in orders has continued? If so revenue and earnings would benefit.

Aug. 28, 1998 (Electronic Buyers News - CMP via COMTEX) -- Silicon Valley- Coming out of a slack quarter, power-IC suppliers are reporting a sharp spike in new orders, kicking off what some industry experts hope could be a more general recovery within the embattled semiconductor industry. During a briefing with financial analysts last week, Semtech Corp. reported shortages within its power-chip business and observed that lead times have stretched to six weeks or more. The company saw power-IC orders rise 24% in June and another 30% in July, said Doug Lee, an analyst at NationsBanc Securities, San Francisco. A survey of several leading power-IC vendors confirmed that chip orders-particularly in the PC category-have picked up substantially in the past few weeks.
