I don't understand how you can complain about adding transparency to telephone billing. Before, it was all hidden; state and federal governments tacked on fees that were put on the bill unbeknownst to consumers. It seems to me that we're much better off knowing who is gouging us, the Baby Bell, the long distance company or the government. Only then can you start to work those charges down.
