BlueFox is correct. It is possible for a service provider to "hold hostage" a domain name. It's considered in poor taste, but it's been done. It simply isn't technically possible to change primary domain servers without the cooperation of the company that controls the current primary domain server.

I note that their NEW domain (system4ads.com) has different service providers for DNS and the web site. This is a smart thing to do if you don't intend to pay for your web presence. It only costs $25-$100/year or so for domain name service, and one could presume that just about anybody could afford to pre-pay that.

But, then again, it would make sense to have paid the $50/year to maintain the simweb.com domain name, just to avoid confusing people when they run across old search results and land at the wrong web site.

This company doesn't often do things that make sense...
