The other potential competition that I am vaguely aware of is some new format which uses standard floppy disks to record one's own favorite recordings. Saw some TV commercials for the system several months ago, then think I recall hearing that the copyright holders (perhaps through an industry-wide association) were very unhappy with this, for obvious copyright reasons. I may get a chance to call the analyst at JW Charles today or tomorrow to see what he knows. JSb.
