I believe that in the long-term, company fundamentals drive stock price (upwards and downwards). Accounting wizardry can move prices in the short term. Look at Sunbeam, Cendant and others. However, a house built on a weak foundation will crumble. The question is not if, but when. Look out for IBM.

Based on the numbers that I posted, Intel's prospects for long term share price escalation are better than IBM's. As they have been historically (my graph). Much better.
