Mohan - According to Access Media International, small and medium-sized businesses spent about $62 billion on information technology in 1997 This $62B number is for all types of IT spending including consulting services (typically also purchased from aunt nelly or uncle ned). The number for PC hardware is variously estimated between $32B and $40B. Good luck today - I expect a nice solid earnings number from MSD, the forward looking statements will be what everyone is watching.
