It looks to me that the november options on all the major tech stocks were not expecting as high of stock prices as we have. I think that a lot of the extremely high whisper numbers are put out to try to get some kind of disappointment in the announcement which may bring all the tech sector down for a week or so, just long enough to settle some of the option positions.
