jenna - as i mentioned to you in a private message (about WFMI), be careful (pre-earnings), as it was getting sold off in large blocks, from 40 on down to 32. it closed yesterday at 33, met earnings, had positive report, conference call soon, and could get back to its 40 in little time.

i'm not in down (too unsure of the market), but got out of my puts without losing my shirt.

with DELL selling off pre-earnings, so far (based on a 'missing earnings' rumour), it might not be as bad a partial hold *through* earnings...

POWI, CREE..NMGC long term holds or great position trades?

both running.. CREE new 52 week high. I am out of most positions from the morning and this week (SGI, CYCH) I should have held POWI a bit longer. I did more in the first hour than I could ever match so I'm just watching and slowly selling leaving the best for last. I plan to be about 90% in cash in my trading portfolio going into Monday (but I do have an intermediate portfolio again, but I watch and I decide when to churn) so I am essentially 'in' the market with some positions including DELL

I like both POWI and CREE they were the creme de la creme of this earnings season. CREE and POWI are strong as iron, and when they do correct you have to be quick to get in. That is why I emphasize keeping stocks like this in your database. They will always come back for more and more gains. I would consider perhaps a long term position in both of them, but I don't usually hold these two for more than a week or two.

As I mentioned my friend is making a mint in them by 'not timing entries and exits' and if you go by him he's done better with these two and some others he got from MG.. Although I prefer my style of trading to his 'buy and hold' I'm not a surgeon and I don't have a job like that to fall back on or an extra 200-300k lying around to invest in companies like CREE and POWI. If I did, I would,

NMGC.. I won't predict what will happen to NMGC. I've seen what happens 'stock genies', but I am holding it and also trading it short term. Here is a bit of news that's come out only since November 6. It's one of the fastest growing companies on more than 1 financial magazine. We are talking 3 digit growth and estimates always climbing. Although the rates of 520% and 189% are obviously non sustainable NMGC is probably worth double what its selling price is and has growth going forward of 30%.

YHOO, ELNK out of YHOO puts could not leave over profit that big they were not cheap puts. NSOL held up better than most internets. ELNK puts still holding mostly because I couldn't sell it in time. Those holding CATH, SYB, TJX,LOW, WTSLA, BJ.. I would hold.. JLG..okay should do well but not a screaming buy.

IDTC.. was not a buy as it fell beneath support and kept falling, Monday should be an important day for IDTC. I would not buy an earnings play that closes very close to its intraday low of the day 2 days before earnings.
GNET and that group forget it.. I'd never hold those through the weekend. GNET, GCTY will always be good trading stocks now.
