Did I miss something here? I don't think that as HDS shareholders, we will get to participate going forward. Yes, the combination may be what's "best for the long term" and Ames and HDS together may be able to compete better than HDS by itself. But guess what? Stick a fork in us, we are DONE. We get our $1.50, a small piece of some litigation and walking papers.

Dear Tom - agreeing with WHL, not sure if there is any Big Pix, since this is a cash tender deal [and not stock swap.]

The only thing going is a very remote possibility of arb. [and a proxy fight to force AMES to sweeten the pot a little, but I do not believe there is any chance of bidding war erupting.] After the initial positioning, a lot of us who have held from above 3 and more are essentially losing our shirts. As I ve said to WHL earlier, I dumped 2/3 early on. Still have my expensive 1/3.

While I respect everyone's opinion here, it is important for each and everyone of us see things as they are.
