I rarely place market orders, but if I did, I'd be furious. There's no reason to wait a half hour or more of confirmation of execution of a market order. If I were you I'd move to Brown.

I was going to reopen an Ameritrade account because I thought they'd improved but from your report and others, they have not improved. Anyway, they don't allow you to direct option orders to particular exchanges, which is unsuitable for me. So, I'm forgetting Ameritrade AND InvesTrade.

ORDER EXECUTION CONFIRMATIONS QUICKLY--After many, many frustrating times of hitting the Order Refresh until I had blisters, finally I called the 1-800-669-3900 and pushed the #1 and #1 as if placing an order. Well would you believe, they had the confirmation for quite some time. With that information, I immediately made a Sell Order and pocketed a quick chunk of change. I've been doing this regularly. Place the order on the net, wait one minute and call. By the time you get a human being ---- you have confirmation. Do not try the Customer Support Line as their information is slower than my screen. The first time I did that was almost noon, I'd placed 5 trades and the person had no record on her screen. I'm moving. LOL
