Hello Ladies and Gentlemen:

Could not stand reading / posting over at Yahoo anymore so I became an SI convert. Seriously, how many times can you read nonsensical drivel without losing IQ points.

Anyone else wonder if they keep time a bit differently than the rest of us? Have we heard this before?

Well, I spoke to what is qualifying as the IR department at TDFX (some younger version of D. Zacarias) and on October 15th he stated that OEM deals would be announced within 4-6 weeks (read: comdex +). Gateway is definitely a tier one win, but what about Compaq? After seeing the Banshee part listed in their web page manual section, I have to consider a win at Compaq a possibility also. Opinions?

- On a related note, it was good to see the CREAF OEM win announcement today.
biz.yahoo.com
And their OEM win for their PCI64 part. I personally would love to see a SB Live value win and a Banshee win in the same system, talk about a volume seller. But I can't complain about this paring right now.

- Semi related note:
I purchased a Metabyte wicked3d Vengence (Banshee 16meg AGP part - $119). ( wicked3d.com ) Talk about a NICE product! Had some difficulty with shipping drivers (unusual for Metabyte) but the 1.3 drivers on their web site are amazing. Complete custom resolution selection as well as custom refresh settings. You name it and you can adjust it with these drivers. (heh, you should see a desktop running at 1024X1024). Will run some benchmarks (300A celeron, abit bh6, 128 meg cas 2 ram, at 66/83/100 mhz) using new ZD winstone/bench once I get a chance. If you can track one of these parts down (website or Electronics boutique), I would definitely recommend it.

Jeff
