Brooke,

oh yes which reminds me that there is no way in TC2000 V4 scan language to specify Simple MA versus EMA. I reported this a while ago but never got a response from them.

Brooke: For the last 2 yrs I've used only QP1 and Realtick3. Before that I used MetaStock DOS exclusively. I've tried MS 6.5 Win but decided to stick with the DOS version, which I now find superfluous anyway. I've just started to phase TC2000 into the mix for its user-friendly scan function.

My scans are strictly price, volume, time, and an occasional MA. Nothing exotic. I don't scan for stoch or RSI. My goal is to come up with 100 charts to eyeball every day.

When I started using QP1 in early '96 it literally changed my trading life. No more downloading one quote at a time. At that time QP1 was the only package I knew of that would download & scan the universe for a reasonable price. That eliminated the MetaStock scan function for me. When I started using RT3, I found I didn't need the MS charting functions either.

A long answer to a short question.
