Hi Barbra

As I understand it, satellites are being rotated to present as small of a target as possible. I would not be surprised if this would cause some slow downs in things like telephone, internet, satellite television signals. I think that the article that you referenced mentioned 2 PM as the time of highest density of showers.

One or 2 satellites being taken out would, of course, cause even more disruption of service. Guy on CNBC this AM estimated ~10% probability of a hit.
