Grant,
I think 'These are all guesses" is self explanitory.
SIGM is only up 35% from its Sept lows (before today...) while many small caps have doubled. Since they have reported (-2/-3) cents per share in each of the last few quarters I would expect them to do the same. But since stock has not moved back up I think investors expect some bad news. I am guessing at an inventory write down b/c some other small cap semis I follow have done just that. Also since expectations are low, a writedown of old inventory (inventory seemed high compared to last Qs revs) would clear the decks for the next year. I expect revs should grow (based on design wins/news announcements if nothing else) as DVD takes off. Do you know ASP for SIGMs chips?
I would really prefer your scenario as I own a fistful of this stock.
