Definitely an upswing in boards.

But what clinched it for me, was the Intel pre-announcement. Apparently unit volumes are growing quite nicely for a number of companies such as Cisco, 3Com etc after a big reduction in channel inventories. Solectron is picking up Japanese business for their American plants. There are a host of indicators that assemblers and OEMs are selling more units. This has to be bullish for the whole supply chain, including the board manufacturers.

Hadco is a cyclical business with a long term growth rate of about 15%. At peak last cycle they earned $3.50 or so, at peak next cycle they should earn between $4-5. Its not my usual GARP play, but I don't mind playing a cyclical turn. Paul Senior, sorry I missed the low, but I was buying FLEX and JBL at less than 30 when HDCO bottomed. So I'm in for a few thousand shares.
