I am thinking about attacking the problem by leveraging the marketing encyclopedia in Siebel. My past experience with folks implementing eCommerce solutions is that maintaining the wealth of product related information is a daunting task. If you already have SEBL then hopefully you also have a marketing administrator performing that duty. I do admit this would be only one facet in the gem that is eCommerce.
