Both BAC and CCI have gotten wacked lately. For the long termer, I think both are good stocks. Right now, however, I'd only invest in these if I planned hanging on for the long term. With CCI, however, their recent merger with Travelers is something I really do not know enough of, I'm embarrased to say (since I hold shares of CCI pre-merger).

One thing I really, REALLY don't like about CCI from an investor's standpoint is their new dividend reinvestment plan. If you hold your shares in certificate form, you have to open a brokerage account with them just for dividend reinvestment. The information asked--and REQUIRED--on the form is a little much, way to detailed and, from my standpoint, financially invasive. Because of this I put my shares into one of my brokerage accounts. This way I can get the dividends reinvested even though I can not do optional cash payments.
