The repricing of H. Silverman's options alone (not including the other top executives) cost at least $196 million to the shareholders. His buddies on the Board of Directors approved it quietly before the shareholder meeting. They were originally going to put it up for shareholder vote, but realized they may have a tough time getting it through even with the proxies that they control.

Server growth looks good, huh? Is that why the ASPs didnt fall? I havent seen any other boxmaker reports but I was under the impression falling ASPs were all over the place. The ASPs were even higher than Kumar predictions I believe (I forgot what they were - Ill check). I think Dell has a winner with its server line. Well, we know one thing for certain, the high-end chain at Dell really rocks! (an objective opinion having nothing to do with my former employment there <gg>)
