What is going on with everybody. Gold up $3.80 and the threads are so quiet. .

Probably because Don Green is sitting alone worring about the negative
returns on the S&P the last couple of days while GOLD has performed marvelously!

Maybe it is time for a short squeeze on gold bears...
Can you say $320?

Stephen,
from what I understand, the only way to do a metal X-Ray an is old fashioned photo. I think these are done on a preset schedule based on hours in combat for each plane. I do know that much more study time can be spent on a photo with a better ability to watch a frame by frame from a motion picture in film than electronic, also, I don't think electronic IR shows as much detail.
I do know that a great many mil-spec ICs were bonded only with gold wire, and some contacts will be gold plated copper as it is the best conductor and will not corrode in the sea air.
