Melissa, I would think mass producing and putting modems on store shelves would take some time, however, to build them for service providers to provide to their users is different. There is much happening now that the standard is settled. I search using the keywords "ADSL", DSL, xDSL & G. Lite" on a minimum of once per day on Yahoo, the number of releases and articles has picked up big time since the standards announcement. All kinds of DSL offerings are popping up, many smell of G. Lite.

Q: What equipment do I need for DSLink access?
A: The DSLink end-user must be equipped with a DSL modem, a 10-Base-T Ethernet Card, and a personal computer (Pentium 133Mhz processor, 32MB RAM, and Windows 95 or equivalent) for proper DSL operation. The DSL modem must be compatible with GTE's DSL equipment and can be rented or purchased from GTE.

Apparently GTE has compatable equipment. What leads you to believe that it must be from Aware?
