Now,Now...
Short story. Saw this stock mentioned on the YAHOO thread. Took a peak at...was at $9. Being the prudent investor, I spent a few minutes investigating. 50 Times faster..goodenuf for me. Just for chuckles, put a buy at 71/2. Checked back in at 31.
Then the 'whatifs' hit.
Should I be sad or glad that I missed the entry by 2?
I praise those who don't have another day job and took this for a ride!
But..boo-boo tummy for those who couldn't get out by 4:00.Or does this thing make sense?
Then the 'whatifs".

Thanks rory (and Christian too) for your polite responses. I too am not generally in favor of regulation. I just kind of feel that in this case, the SEC should have acted a little sooner since there was an obvious lack of information. But my main point was that I don't think it's fair to paint the whole "market" badly, just because of these singularities. I don't believe in a "stock market" anyway. I believe in a market of stocks.

But you are right, people should know what they are doing and take responsibility for that. I myself saw this in the morning when it was 4 bucks, did some quick check on the company and didn't like what I saw. So I promptly forgot about it. I never in my wildest imagination thought it would go to 10, let alone 30!

Dennis

Management did nothing wrong here, just a bunch of greedy fools tripping over them selves to see who will be left holding the bag.

Agree 100%. We've seen this before - remember last April/May when garbage stocks were going up 300-500% in 3-4 days (then crashing back to earth). Nothing new, just waaaay more extreme than usual.
